swap 5.7 to 8.2+

I looked at getting a ramjet 502 couple years ago but all searchs showed gm had their heads in the ground when producing the computer. Anyone know if things changed with it? Otherwise im hoping to take advantage of a discount later this year on either the rj 502 or the 572/620. Thought about building but prices come out to about the same minus warranty. efi musi 555 would be nice.
