I got a set of step bars for free. They were off a chev of some kind, but the previous owner cut the brackets with a sawzall. I also have some family members tipping the scales at over 300lbs that I drive around in my truck on occasion. With all of this in mind, out came the welder and the fun began. They arent on yet, but getting there.

1.5" square tubing for the main supports clamped on and ready for welding
"L" brackets to mount to the frame
the stock bracket as I got them next to my new brakets
more to come. And before anyone says it, I like it better with out, but I need them for one simple reason:
