Steering help

My steering box is going out. Alot of play in the wheel and it leaks . Leaks dry in a month. Im gonna replace it. Is there anything i can do to have better steering ? A tighter steering ?

Replace all the steering components with new, high quality units like Moog. Get a good alignment afterward and it's going to be as tight as it gets.

I don't even think you can get a new Delco steering box, think they are all (poorly) rebuilt ones.

I'd recommend replacing all the front end stuff, and then replacing your shaft with a XJ shaft, then seen how much play you have.

if your leaking PS fluid, replace the box before you throw a bunch of un needed parts at the rest of the front end. Once you replace th emuch needed steering box, then you can check everything else if its still loose. Either way, youlll need a new steering gearbox or rebuild yours. its not that hard.
