On this note I've looked for my sensor before and don't seem to have it
Trucks a 98 built in 97 ecsb 5.0
I should have it right?

Could this by why my steering randomly gets bad like I have no power steering? It's completely random and only last a minute or 2.

Check your serpentine belt, if you look at your tensioner, there are marks in the ' OK' range, your belt may be slipping or the wrong length.

Yours could also be steering shaft
Have you looked at the Raggedy joint
(Rag joint)

If not check out the jeep shaft swap on the shafts
Pretty slick

True it could be shaft as well, I havent taken a close look at that.

That Jeep swap seems like a really good mod to do. I'll definitely check that out. Ive heard of the rubber failing on those swaps but Im sure theres a way to avoid that. Thanks!
