Hi all I have 91 k1500 w/t and I want to change the floor shifter for the trans out but I did not know if it was a one piece or screw on or what any help would be appreciated

I have neverseen a floor shifter for the trans from the factory on these trucks. Are you refering to the Transfer case shifter?

If you have a manual trans the shifter stick is one piece unless you have an HD manual (SM465 or NV4500). It unscrews from the shift tower and I think there are aftermarket ones out there

Automatics are always column shift so if you have a floor shift it’s aftermarket.

No it is a 5 speed manual transmission

B&M makes short shifters for both the NV3500 and NV4500, just unbolt the top plate and swap them out.
