Thats what I'm wondering. I would think it would cause more than just the indicator light to stay lit but I don't knowSounds like an ignition switch problem.

so your column lock is no longer engaged, can you move the column wheel just enough while unlocked, then cycle back to accessory without it locking( dont turn it like if you turn key off and then you wiggle wheel it will slot in)In the position where I can shift I have no power to anything it's just far enough to unlock the steering column. I'm not sure if that makes it an ignition switch problem?
