This is true. I have a 89 s10 with 320,000 miles on a original motor. Daddy bought it new. 2.5L 4 cyl 5 speed. Still runs like a top, and uses surprisingly little oil for how many miles are on it.

Comanches are pretty cool and strangely coveted, if they're in good shape. In AZ it's hard to find a nice one for under $5000. I owned one for about a year and the options for building a fun little off-road rig that can be driven daily are sky-high. Replacement parts and aftermarket is robust for these vehicles, and from the rear glass forward, they are a Cherokee Sport. Under hood maintenance is the big **** show. Alternator swap, starter replacement, and vacuum line f@ckery were the three things I disliked...
