My 1997 K1500 had a bad spot in a frame I couldn't get fixed (and almost separated according to the frame shop), so I went out and purchased a replacement. Fortunately, I've been able to transfer some of my interior mods and body parts over to it.

The night I purchased it a couple weeks ago... throwing a TPS sensor code, broken windshield, rebuilt TBI 350 with less than 2k on it, and partially rebuilt transmission. Oh, and no sway bar end links. It's straight piped with headers.

After getting it home, swapped out the TPS sensor, did an oil change, washed and waxed it. Then I put my new headlights on it from my '97, along with the stereo and speakers, and the rearview compass/temp mod.

And today the windshield was replaced. Benefit of the new one was I didn't have to try too hard to get the pine sap off the old cracked one ;)

Next step is to switch out the fuel tank and fuel lines. The tank is rusted through, and the fuel lines will break when I remove it based on how crusty they are. Not sure how much non-stock stuff I'll do, I've always liked my trucks stock.

Photo dump... finally got brake lines and belt drive replaced. And new brakes on front. Next I need to decide whether to go back to stock exhaust, ball joints/tie rods/etc, or fix the AC system....
