Right now, whatever we can get our hands on. We have some for, pine, oak, alder, poplar, we’ve been collecting logs for a while now. Going to see if I can turn any of it into cash….I'll second 454's comments. Never seen a hose clamp fail like that.
What kind of timber are you cutting?
That is a huge help, yes thanks!! I was looking through my pics from when I did the original swap but can’t find anything useful.Don’t know if these pics will help you, I took them with the upper plenum off. with #1 at tdc the rotor was right in line with the rear fuel rail bolt hole, the dizzy cap screw hole on the corner of #8 intake port. Got the oil pump shaft oriented with the dizzy shaft and started rotating in the dizzy at 3 o’clock. This got me within 6 degrees. You must be registered for see images attachYou must be registered for see images attach
Between the cracked center support, cracked frame, cracked water pump, cracked bolts, hose clamp....this things got more cracks than a _________....you can fill in the rest, lol.Got the water pump out, reinstalled, put everything back together... yeah the water pump has a crack in it. That's why it's leaking. Not my sealant job.
Out of time to pull it back out plus it's ripping hot....
Limited lifetime warranty... great..... doesn't pull it back out and reinstall it for me.
Wonder if they will comp me 3 gallons of coolant....
I don't hardly bother with AutoZone parts anymore; if it's an in-store "brand" it's NAPA or bust.
Pretty cool of them to honor the warranty and comp the coolant, I doubt my AZ would do that.
NAPA ftw. Or maybe DUI from Summit? I've got a Davis Unified Ignition coil and ICM and I can definitely tell a difference in throttle response. I was planning on getting one of their Dizzys but I have an Accel billet shaft laying in my parts pile. One step forward one step back…..
So my distributor was 180* off. I theorized this might have happened, while I was fighting with the oil pump drive I spun the motor around and must have lost count. So not surprised after I thought about it. Truck starts now, but I can’t get the cmp better than 7*. I think I need to move 1 tooth. But I am closer and it’s running again.
But guess what I find while I’m messing with the distributor adjustment.
Yeah coolant is leaking from somewhere up front… spent some time looking around and of course can’t find it until it reaches operating temp…
I’ll give you 3 guesses what it was but you’ll only need one-

Not a great pic, but same exact problem the last water pump had, sweeping coolant through ****** casting once it reaches temp
I’m going to return this POS duralast and get my money back hopefully…. Then get maybe a UMP or ACD gold from rock auto.
