If I were to do it I woulda put it up above the front skid plate (like s10 blazers) that way you don't have oil running down your fender, it's hidden, plenty of room (remove 2 15mm bolts and wala plenty of room to remove and replace without making a mess)

Two questions:

1) Are the new filters any more efficient as far as micron level? I know its not a big deal for a TBI, but the ability to upgrade might be nice.
2) You did a by-pass setup and went with a Fram? Read the oil filter study posted here!

Yes u can upgrade to higher micron filters. I was going to upgrade until I found my low oil pressure seemed to be caused by the Mobil 1 filter I had on there.

Couldn't the cooler still be used, if, you ran the outlet from the block to the cooler, out of the cooler into the filter?
