Ranger gear splitter

My 90 K3500 has a 465. Ranger shows this fits up to 87 sm465. Was there any difference on the 88 and up versions?

Slave cylinder switches to the other side of the bell. Front drive shaft is on the other side and in closer to the trans. Not sure why it would cause any problems though.

I think they hang off the transfer case, so you only split gear's in 2wd
