Random OEM parts under dash

Maybe you guys can help me, not sure what these two parts are. The blue one with the part # I looked up, all I could find is that it is a module, but doesn't tell me for what. And the thing on the right has me all sorts of confused. So maybe you guys can help me out so I know if I have to keep it or take them out.

Oh, and this is on my '97 Silverado

Thing on the right is the DRL resistor box. The Blue box is supposed to be mounted under the stock cd player/storage pocket. Not sure exactly what that is for.

Just did a little checking. The Blue module is for the variable power steering assist.

Yes it sure can....

Cool, maybe that is why my DRLs don't work. Already replaced the little module circuit board thing.

Most definatly. They can go out to where they don't work at all or go out to where the lights are on 100% instead of reduced power like they are supposed to be
