For about 10-15 seconds after I turn my truck off, there's a loud hissing that comes from the passenger side of the radiator, near the grill. This started a few months after i started getting a pool of water (coolant?) on the ground after i turned my truck off. The pool would end up behind the passenger side front wheel after dripping out of a 90º rubber grommet (coming from heater core?) and onto the lower control arm. Any idea what this could be?

Is this with the air conditioning on?

If so, what you're describing is water coming from the evaporator drain and the freon pressures equalizing when you shut the truck off.

Try driving the truck without the ac on and see if it still does it.

The test is to see whether what's dripping out is water, or coolant. You can tell by taking a very small taste. If it is water, it is condensation from the AC evaporator; if it is coolant, it is most likely a leaking heater core.

Let us know which.
