I have an 88 chevy silveraldo 4x4 with power windows and locks, I have replaced the switches with new ones and they work great, can anyone tell me if the switches are supposed to illuminate when the lights are on?

the locks didnt work at all when I got it so I replaced them, it seems they would light up , because you cant see them at night, but I cant find any info on them at all.

My later model does(96) but that's probably not a help to you. If no one chimes in, check a wiring diagram maybe? Or check your old switch for a bulb?

I haven't found anyone with an answer yet, I do have the old switches, Thats a good idea i'll open one up, and see if there is a bulb, had not thought of that.
