This is for a bone stock 1999 K 1500 Suburban 5.7. The power steering pump is shot, it leaks and the threads inside the shaft are stripped.

Two questions. First, since none of the new ones come with a Evo valve, I'm assuming it's best to just install the bypass kit. What do I do with the electric pigtail that was supposed to plug into that? Zip tie somewhere?

Main problem though.

A lot of the pumps that I'm finding it auto parts stores do not have female holes on the back for the mounting studs to attach. They just have bolts in them and seem to have some insane threadlocker on them. We can't get the bolts out of them to put the mounting studs in.

Do I just skip the mounting studs that bolt the pump to the block, and only use the 3 bolts that attach it to the aluminum frame that holds the AC compressor?
