I think the Sport and 454 S/S models came with the black bowtie. I did the paintwork on the grille surround, btw.

Looks great, I was actually wondering about that too. Kind of a GMChevy look.

Yup the bowties are pretty pricey. That's why I have a used one for the Burb, and may just use it for a pattern to make it out of brass.

The trick to keeping your bowtie that nice gold is to sand it to a 1200 grit, spray with Amber tinted laquer and then clear coat. The bowtie itself is silver inside the plastic, but the UV tinted amber plastic fades.
