Just a little update. I tried to do the repairs in steps, but you know how it goes once you get started fixing stuff you can't stop.
Replaced header and collector gaskets with a much thicker and higher quality. Knock sensor code is gone.
Replaced throttle body with TBI mod and injector spacer with all new gaskets and o rings. Kept the stock 11lb spring in. Reset the
ICV and the timing set to zero.
Replaced the detent cable as mine broke when I was trying to get the slack out. Stomping on the gas pedal like every video shows is not a great idea
with a 31 year old plastic mount.
Replaced cap and rotor with brass. not a big fan of that aluminum crap.
As of right now EGR code is also gone.
Don't skimp on quality. Pay the little extra and get the good stuff.
