Still looking. Waiting for the right one. Owner of two 88-98's thus far, both are no longer with me and the third one hopefully will be the charm.

Looking for a Stepside pre 95 preferably manual , ( don't know the abbreviations for that yet.) SCSBSS or just SCSS,?


stay tuned for pics. Craigslist and Ebay are going to be the death of me. ! Took a long ride today lot hunting, no luck, not even a find, not a one. ! Didn't even get to kick a tire.

My research has shown that "some " 95's have OBD1, I can't remember my source,( I read it somewhere) but I did have a guy take a picture of an alleged 95 obd port and it was a one, and it was on a 95, BUT I never saw the title or VIN or anything else. Could of been a 94 for all I know.

Good topic for discussion. I'm open

From my understanding and owning a 95, the model year 95 was all obd1 but later years got a obd2 port with an obd1 computer. Mine has an obd1 connector while the 95 I work on at school has an obd2 connector but is still obd1.

I have a 95 and it has obd-1. IIRC, obd-2 came out in 96 anyways.

For full size pickups yes. I believe cars and smaller (s10 sized) trucks got it much before 96. I could be wrong though
