Ain't that the damnest thing, I bought a 98 GMC 1500 X Cab today and have been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why my dome light didn't work. The override switch was the sneaky culprit!!!! Ahh the differences between a 1994 Sierra and a 1998!!!!!

Mine turned out to be the ajar switch, BOTH sides were broken.

Dome override = stealth mode

There is no stealth mode with my rusted out muffler.

Yep the poppers are acting just like the ones on my 94, got to do the ol wiggle trick to get lights!!

Are the poppers readily available? Mine won't light up the cabin, but the dome light switch pops them on. Was worried is was a BCM module.

I know LMC has them, some autoparts might have them, but I'm not sure. I got mine out of a junkyard and they've worked great.
