Americans celebrate thanks giving on the day the pilgrims reached the new land. We use of as a holiday to show our appreciation for different things.

Not sure about Canada. Theirs is also called boxing day. So I dont know what its about. Maybe a canuck can chime in on it.

In general its considered a day to be thankful for things that have happened in the last year. Our family has a big turkey dinner, and I would say just a time to spend with family. Thats what I do anyways. And boxing day is the day after Christmas..O and thanks for the continued comments!
