Did you have to cut the bumper to fit the hitch?Original one was dented so I figured what the hell... How hard could it be lol
No you don't.Did you have to cut the bumper to fit the hitch?
Why? My feeble mind goes to the gauge pic and how low the oil pressure was for a fresh rebuild. But I'm also wrong about 99.9999% of the time. LOLPulled engine again (fun times) to get it honed out for new forged Carrillo pistons, forged Texas Speed Crank and rods. Had the engine decked as well and installing Trickflow CNCed 225 heads. Also had the 4l60e rebuilt to handle more power and I painted to match engine.
I didn't see the power I wanted initially and came across forged internals with pistons that would increase compression at less than half the price of the new from an individual who started a build but then needed money for something else so he sold me his parts (never installed, still in box). The cost of new heads was with reason (for me) than getting the stock ones redone. The trickflow heads have proven added power and reliability. Since I pulled the engine and was getting it rebuilt, I went ahead and pulled the transmission because it was 31 years old and stock and new it would not hold up to the power so went ahead and upgraded it.Why?
