Here is the my 97 K1500 extended cab short bed that has turned into a project truck, because of a few issues that GM had from the factory which I have decided to correct.

What has died on the truck so far:
Spider injectors don't work properly anymore
front main seal on the trans leaks ATF really bad
3 Front axle actuators
2 Windshield wiper motors

What I have done so far:
ARB Brush guard bumper to keep people from cutting me off.
Little shop manufacturing rear disc brake conversion, since I have always hated drum brakes.
Bed liner (worth every penny)
Dee Zee Lockable tool box
All new brake

What the plan is moving forward:
6.0 LS with a TBSS intake and Holley Terminator XMAX engine/transmission controller
4L80E
Manual engagement for the front axle
Replace factory G80 locker with a Detroit locker (the stock G80s have a tendency to blow up)
Dual battery setup
Electric Cooling fans
16,500 lb Warn Winch
Also add skip plates to it eventually
Swap out the factory front bench with front buckets and center console

Now a few question:
1. How do I integrated all of the wiring with what I want to do?
2. Where do I get skip plates? (I have no problem making my own if I have to)

Thank you, its made by ARB. It's quite pricey though ($1500), but it has easily more than made up for the money I spent. People won't really cut you off or get in front of your truck for any reason ever.
