Also yesterday I realized I have a 14 bolt 9.5 rear end is this normal? I know most came with the 8.5 10 bolt correct?

I have the same rear end in my 1500. We both have the F44 "Heavy duty chassis package" which consists of a 14 bolt SF 9.5" ring gear rear end, 11" rear brakes vs the 10" brakes. Better front brakes, and I believe a trans cooler.

Mine has the same rear end, bigger brakes and a trans cooler, with the HD package (both chassis and suspension) you also get better springs and shocks and a higher load rate. I can load over 1050kg/2300 lbs on the bed on mine and pull 2000kg/4400 lbs on a trailer (hitch is rated for 5000 lbs but we have stupid weight regulations that get in the way). A regular 1500 can load 500kg/1100 lbs and pull 2000kg/4400 lbs.
(You probably don't have the same laws in the US but it's a pretty good comparison.)

Btw, Welcome and nice truck!

That's awesome to know. I had never realized. So would the lift kits be the same or would we use 3/4 ton lift components? *I know stupid question*

It's pretty nice, I'd rather put things on the bed if possible than tow.
I've actually been wonderig too, I want to lift mine also and have been looking at the RCX 6" lift kit, I'm not sure but I think our trucks use the same as other 1500 trucks, maybe with the better shocks? I guess asking RC is the only sure way of knowing.

Thanks! Still debating what I want to do with the grille. Black out, chrome, or color match. I'll probably do smoked heads and corners

Busy day:

Removed the chrome fender moldings
Blacked out the grille
Removed the nasty plastic bumper chin
Repaired some surface rust
(I hate chrome..)
