Is there not a battery where the positive and negative terminals are swapped?
A positive terminal that close to metal feels sketchy

Look the batteries over at your local parts store or Walmart. Most of the Ford batteries have opposite terminals and maybe numbered like 24f. They are that way because of the starter solenoid being on the fender wall.

Just occurred to me, you would then need a longer positive cable, and one or two sizes larger cable thickness. The larger size will run cooler and not get as hot on hard starts.

yea, I just got some heavy duty 0 guage stereo amplifier wire off ebay and made my own cables when I put the 2nd battery in my plow truck. or you can get pre-made battery cables from a parts store.
