Hi,

I'm ordering parts to go through the entire front end on my '96 GMC K1500, but can't figure out which lower ball joint to get. I searched to no avail. Rock Auto has press in fit ones for the lowers, 45.79mm for the stamped arm and a 47.89mm for the forged arm. How can I tell which one I need, short of crawling under the truck and trying to measure?

Thanks,
-D

forged is probably boxed and alum. where as the stamped is steel and just flat plate bent into the shapes it needs.

So the answer is crawl under and look or get pics.

I just ordered my front end rebuild from rockauto today.
