Loose connector... 5.7 vortec 97 GMC

Misfire and limp mode. I'm either blind or this harness is not the original harness for this truck. Any ideas?!

Your 97 shouldn't have TBI, so if you swapped a TBI motor in that could be your problem. I know many of the sensors have different connectors between TBI and Vortec trucks.

There’s an Evap system solenoid and MAP sensor on the intake in that area, also the MAF sensor on the intake duct and an air temperature sensor right upstream of that.

I would think you’d be throwing a code, though, if any of those were unplugged.

Does it go to your light on the hood?

Yupe, I do believe that should be your evap solenoid. There's one right there on my truck, it would be to the right of the connector in your picture.

I’m getting a misfire code, p0302 I think.

I believe that’s plugged in. Peep that red clip on the connector behind the loose connector.

looks like you just did the upper intake. look around for a plug you missed. on my truck that looks like the plug on the intake tube downstream from the mass air flow meter. IAT i think its called.
