* cam sensor... If its the one in the back of the distributor, its making the injector timing go to -45°. I already fought that battle.

The sensor got unplugged because the guy had to take the distributor had to come out to change the gaskets. And I paid 1000, the guy did not fully say what was all wrong or did not know. Didn't know the gaskets were bad until it decided not to start anymore. I don't want to be knocked on the truck just help getting it fixed.

Ok, if you are refering to the injector timing, loosten the distributor hold down bolt and rotate it until you get to 0. You have to rev the engine above 1200 rpm for a second for the reading on the scan tool to update.

The scan tool doesn't say what it's timing. It just says timing. If it's suppose to be at 0° that means it's way off.

They couldn't turn it that far to go to zero, otherwise it wouldn't run. Might have been looking at ignition timing

Did the numbers change as you rotated it? Rotating the distributor has no effect on ignition timing.

If it did move, but you cannot go far enough without killing the engine, the distributor is on the wrong tooth, and is pointing the rotor button at the wrong plug tower. Your options here are pretty limited to picking up the distributor, turning the rotor button 1 tooth, putting it back in, and trying again on a vortec.
