I just finished installing these on my truck. man these are great!! Took me awhile though because I stripped the screw hole by over tightening!! That's when I realized that the handles are cast aluminum!! Guys be careful the screw holes are very delicate! i Think they are delicate because they are used handles.

It was a busy week though, I installed cab lights, fender flares (painted gunmetal metallic), 94 Chevy composite grill also painted gunmetal metallic, Chevy emblem painted sunburst metallic, and Kodiak handles. The contrast of gunmetal metallic on bright teal is amazing on sunny days. Next on my list: maybe a combination of a 4" spindle lift and 2"BL.

Ill post a pic tomorrow, its too dark for a pic.

i really like the look of these handles, can't stand the stock ones on a lifted truck... but i have a dumb question, how do these handles work? do you pull, or lift up?

The handles have a tab on the back side that you would push downward. Then you would pull the door. The handles are stationary. I always thought they would lift outward like some GMC box trucks I've seen, but that is not the case. Not sure if that helps, I cant describe it any better.

I'd like to see more pics. I'm just worried about breaking them off in a ditch or a tree on my 92.

I just got done with this job. First door I took apart way more than I needed to, was a giant pain, and took an hour. 2nd door took 15 minutes.

I used the RockAuto cheap door handles (GM1310177, GM1311177) at $21.99 each. Shipping was 10.09. Total with 5% discount code was $51.87

I ordered the rods, clips and levers from gmparts direct. $62.40 total
QTY Part # Desc Price Total
1 *15647187 ROD $16.88 $16.88
1 *15619623 PAWL $6.07 $6.07
1 *15558837 ROD $2.95 $2.95
1 *15619622 PAWL $5.18 $5.18
1 *15647188 ROD $2.95 $2.95
2 *20633148 RETAINER $2.94 $5.88
1 *15558838 ROD $2.81 $2.81
1 SHIPPING $19.68 $19.68

For a grand total of $114.27

This was all I needed part wise. Nothing extra.

Tools list was pretty short as well

Ratchet
Long extension (6")
10mm socket
#30 Torx driver
#2 Phillips screwdriver
Flathead screwdriver with a pretty sharp point
Telescoping magnet (dropped the inside screw a dozen times)
Sturdy knife (made prying some of the clips easier)
Flashlight is optional

That was it. Remove door panel, unbolt the door handle through the access hole in the inner door. undo outside bolt. remove 3 torx head bolts from latch mechanism. Wiggle door handle out. Remove rods, swap key tumbler over to new handle using new pawl. Reassemble using new rods.

I'd be happy to help out anyone in the Chattanooga area that is interested in doing this, but is a little wary of the work.
