Intake Gaskets or WP

Whats up guys I have a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe. I've been losing coolant pretty much since I bought it three years ago. I figured this spring when it gets warm Id go after my coolant leak. I'm almost positive that my water pump seal is the issue since it collects coolant in the bottom skid plate and lower fan shroud. But I've seen a handful of people with issues in regards of the intake manifold gaskets. Now being a vortec motor is this a guarentee that my gaskets are going to go? I never see coolant on top of the motor or in my oil in the 15k+ I've driven. Just looking for opinions on what else I should look for.

Sounds like water pump to me.

Yeah, that is what I figured. My second question is should I worried about intake gaskets? I've made it this far but are these motors just a guarantee to go?
