I have a hydroboost power steering pressure line leaking I was wondering if you need to bleed the power steering system if I change that line and if so how do you do it? And this is on my 1999 K2500 4x4/454/4l80e. Any info will help. Thanks!

If you were changing the return line, no need to bleed. this is a pressure line, so you do need to bleed the system. Put the truck on stands so that the front wheels are off the ground. Start the engine, and turn the steering wheel from all the way right to all the way left several times, add more fluid to the reservoir if it is low. Keep doing this until you dont see any more bubbles in the reservoir, probably helps to have 2 people. On a hydroboost system, work the brake pedal too as you do this. Good luck!
