tools
6.5 mm socket (some of my screws were 6.5mm)
7mm socket
pliers
to start disconnect both of the hoses going to the heater core.
after you do that you can blow some air threw one of the lines going in to get the coolant out of the core.
next you need to take the cover off in the truck. it will be on the passanger side under the dash.
there are five bolts on the cover. two on the drivers side of the cover one on the passangers side, one in the front, and one in the back. the one in the back is a pain to get to, and this is the one that was a 7mm for me.
when the covers off the heater core will be exposed
the heater core will just slide out of where its at.
then you put the new one in, and connect the hoses back on it.
then you can finally put it all back together.
here is my old core, it was leaking on the side of it and was draining on my passanger floor board.
and heres the new one with a life time warrenty.
