They do work with diesels! The unit I have installed is compatible with diesels and even manuals! They have a wait to start input, as well as a few other things that are needed on diesel engines

that is interesting as the guys on dieselplace say none of them work on our trucks, i think it has something to do with the tach signal coming from the alternator and its not a normal tach pulse
