Working on my 97 regular cab Silverado. Bought new OEM vinyl seat covers and have removed, with great difficulty, the cloth cover on the passenger seat. I had no idea they were glued on. Finally got some information on getting the glue to release. My questions are, some of the foam came off with the cloth so have I ruined the seat? Also does the new cover have to be gued on? Thanks for any help and advice.

You can buy a new foam bottom. they are available. and definitely you do not have to glue the new seat on. Hog rings, hog ring pliers, and patience. Its a straight forward job. There are videos from "the seat shop" parts and instructions.
