Welcome to the forum, you may not need an AC system up there, but here in south Louisiana, it is a must have. Kind of like not having a heater up there. Enjoy your truck. These are grate trucks. Maybe the best GM ever built.

The idea build is started with the most basic truck I can find. Vents were an option in 1988 ... I guess... seems a bit funny to me as well. Even the little switch on the door pillar that turns on the interior light is only on the driver side. Passenger side had a plastic cap. That said there is nothing to break in this truck.
