im chiming in way late but i have a situation very close to that, ive been driving my 97 k1500 around for years but the body is starting to look rough, i just rounded over 270,000 miles recently, although i rebuilt the tranny 1000 miles ago, the engine is still original, that and the 4X4 hasnt worked in years and its just been one problem after the other trying to get it fixed so i kinda gave up, so tomorrow im going to pick up a 2000 Z71, alot cleaner and only has 113,000 on it, im getting it for a steal, so i understand the sediment
