I was told by Bilstein they have more rebound under the assumption the front bars have some crank to them.
I should’ve specified it is a 2012 Tahoe :deal:
But you’re right, that confirms the research I’ve done, showing them to be valved slightly different than the 4600, while also having a slightly beefier build.

The rear shocks were rated nearly identical for the Tahoe. Could’ve saved a couple dollars but then they wouldn’t have matched the fronts.

might ride a bit rough but if I am using a truck to do what it was meant to do I would be going with these in the rear

so now it is question time do those coilover overload shocks even work?
I had them on two of my trucks and kept breaking the axle end off, they did help level the truck a little with a load on the half ton but the 3/4 ton it was just a waste. Now have 4600s on both and much happier lol.

speaking of leafs both of our gmt400s 1997 K-3500 crew cab long bed 6.5 turbo diesel and our 92/94 K2500 extended cab long bed 454 have 6/1 leaf packs I want to replace them with these https://www.generalspringkc.com/198...r-leaf-spring-3300-lbs-capacity-8-7-1-leaves/

I added a 2nd upper overload to my stock dually pack. I also think fondly of a GMT800 pack that came that way factory.

Of course they do, probably do OK on a half ton. But I doubt the shocks do as well as a Bilstein.

I just replaced the factory 5/1 leaf springs rated at 2200# with their 5/1 pack rated at 3000#. That raised the rear of the truck 3” and ride is much stiffer. Had to remove the lift blocks as it extended the shocks too much and to get back level. Haven’t towed the camper yet to assess loaded ride. 3300#’s might jar your teeth unloaded
