Fender rockguard

Hey guys I am going to spray some cheap cheap rattle can rockguard over my rusted out fenders, and I am just wondering if there is any type of tricks to get a really smooth line? Seems like taping the entire thing off would leave small corners?

* I do spray rust eliminating primer first under the rockguard, but my fenders are almost eaten through so im not worried too much about that. (Am looking for cheap fender flares lol)

I did some cheap rattle can box liner on the fenders on my 90. What I did to get a smooth line was I taped past where I wanted to mask, and then I took an exact knife and very carefully cut out the tape into a nice arc that followed the shape of the bulge of the wheel well lip. It was a bit time consuming, but well worth it.
