Yeah as long as you dont need to pass emissions (like where they put an analyzer/"sniffer" in the exhaust) then the truck will run fine.

I did two magnaflow cats for 187$ and It worked well...If I were you, weld them in, and if ur doing that u mind as well change the muffler because whatever the cats r catching the muffler is catching...now lets think, a cat is there for pollutiona dn efficency levels of toxic waste by burning up...meaning they have platnium and other metals 2 kill all the crap produced...a muffler doesnt have that...at all...ur muffler is def shot, replace it all.

Replace the cats.Hollowing out cats & hiding the fact is a big no no.If you get caught its a huge fine.Way more than new cats cost.Even in states that have no inspections the police can still pull you over & check your vehicle.I'm not positive but I think the fine is between $3000-$5000 & its federal.Check it out
