Egr solenoid

ok guys I have a 1998 k1500 withthe 5.7, I ordered a new egr valve and solenoid.... I changed the valve, where is the solenoid located, I did a Google search and looked all over my engine bay... Am I missing something? Do I not have one?

No solenoid with your EGR as it's a linear (electronic) valve, not a vacuum one as the older engines use.

Are you sure you ordered the right valve?

Yes I replaced the egr valve already and got the solenoid as well as it was offered lol, I'll be returning it tonight
