Drive By Wire

I am doing a 6.0L LQ9 Swap into a 98 K1500 Sierra. The engine has a FBW throttle body on it currently but the engine did not come with a pedal or TCM. Should I convert over to a Drive by cable or are there ways to still use the Fly By Wire set up?

In that you don't have the tac module or pedal, I would do a cable tb and be done. You also have a vortec currently so your current throttle cable is long enough.

Yea if you get all the other components that go with it. If i were you I'd sell dbw crap and get a dbc throttle body and be done.

DBW pedal assemblies are not trouble free. My daughter's 08 went bad resulting in a big tow bill. The aftermarket wouldn't be producing them if they didn't give problems.
