Just did this today on my driver and passenger sides. The passenger wasn't too bad, but I thought I'd get it over with so I wouldn't have to do it at a later date. The write-up is spot on although it can be done by yourself. If you have a floor jack you can put a thick towel on top of the jack to support the door after you take the second pin out. Putting it on is a bit more difficult than removing, but it's not impossible. Of course I'm 6'6", 250 lbs so it might be more difficult for someone smaller. My rollers were worn the worst. They weren't going to last much longer as you can see from the pics. I also replaced the striker. Note: To get the back plate (that the striker screws into) when it falls, after removing the striker; remove your extended cab "pocket" behind the seat belt and you can fish it out.

FYI - Do be careful when driving the bushings into the housings as the hats can and will crack if you're not easy with them.

Dude I replaced my striker bolt without any knowledge of how to do it properly a few months ago...seemed an easy enough task. When the washer/nut fell into the extended cab section of my truck my heart dropped. Didn't take me long to figure out that pulling that pocket allowed access to it, thank god!

So how we're the results? Doors shut like new?

Guess I forgot to mention that! They close like butter. You can literally shut the doors with 1 finger.....and they close!

Super write up when are you going to be over here in Houston to do my drivers door. LOL

If your paying for fuel (and beer), I'm there!!! :evillol:

That's great to hear you had good results. How long did it take you by yourself?

Start to finish was about 4 hours. I took my time. And that was with disciplining my 4 yr old son and 5 month old Labrador every 10 minutes.
