different mirrors

ok I have a 95 Z71 and my dad has a 02 Z71 that he changed the mirrors on to add heated mirrors so he has the ones that came off his truck that look better than mine and I thought I my try and put them on mine so has anyone done this ?

Which mirrors are you talking about? Tow or regular, just check and see if the bases are the same size.

Just reg mirrors and bases look ever close have not done any measuring yet. but now he is talking about changing his again to tow mirror on his 02

I would think at most you would have to elongate a hole or 2. No idea on the wiring aspect but if the connectors are the same plug them in and see what happens. If you've got the newer mirrors sitting around give it a try and post up some pictures of the results.
