I keep reading everyone doing 4wd to 4wd or 2wd to 4wd, but who has actually stayed 2wd doing a cummins swap?
I've been trying to find more recent swaps to see who did using the conversion kit from diesel conversion website. I'm trying to get est on home much the extra parts will cost besides the donor truck.
Yes I know everyone sys go lsx but reasons I am trying to talk myself out of it is:
Everybody does it, when yes that is awesome because anyone can give you info on any trouble you have, but when benefits are what?
Lsx swap from what I have read
Better mpg
More power
Updated fueling
Easier to mod
So many to choose from lol
Cummins or Duramax
Better mpg
More power
Great towing with good gas mileage
Modding can be done
My real question is this besides the swapping portions of needing different odds and ends, overall which is better? Duramax, Cummins, LSX?
Your answer will probably be depends on your lifestyle...so this would be for a suburban, that will be bagged, that will retain 3rd row seating for family vacations, but will also see fun on the track.
Sorry for all grammar issues. And thank you for your answers and knowledge. I've thought of keeping the 350 but the three other engines do far better only benefit in staying vortec would be the relatively cheapness of parts.
