So here are a couple pics of my tail lights and headlights after giving them a little TLC this past weekend. I know this has been brought up on different posts, but I thought people would like to see what a difference it can make. I really don't have any before pics, but the first one is after 2,000 grit...before compound and Meguiar's Plastix vs afer compound. They are by no means perfect, but as close as it's going to get until I have the $$$ to buy new ones. So here's what I did to get them looking like this:

1. Sand with 1,000 grit, keeping the lights wet at all times
2. Sand with 2,000 grit " "
3. Used Meguiar's Ultimate Compound and buffed them twice with an orbital buffer
4. Used Meguiar's Plastix with a buffer

You would not believe what they looked like before....

I used turtle wax compound and whitening toothpaste on mine and couldn't believe the difference. I need to break out the sand paper and finish.
