I haven't done the driver's side but the passenger side was fairly easy. As I recall, basically have to break the old one to get it out. You actually install the switch from the outside. When you push it into place, little plastic tabs snap into position and hold it there. I wasn't able to compress those tabs from the inside enough to release the switch so I just snapped them off, then the switch comes out from the outside trailing the wires and connector with it. Don't let the connector slip back into the hole when you unplug it and the rest is easy. Take the old one into the parts shop with you because the plunger on the switch comes in two lengths.
