So I have these wheels

The problem is that my lug nut covers aren't long enough to reach the threads on the lug nut as they sit further in the wheel being aluminum vs. steel. These are the caps that came with the wheel so I assume they are correct but I'm using my old lug nut covers. Ummmm, so I went to the Chevrolet dealer and he couldn't find any different lug nut covers? Are there longer lug nuts maybe? No one could find anything to solve my problem in town.

When I had a set of those. The guy before me used wood screws and screwed the caps onto the wheels, right into the aluminum.
