Brush guard install question

I got a go rhino grill guard and it doesn't seem to want to go on with the lower valance on the bumper. Anyone else have to remove their's?

The instructions are non present. Should the brackets that go with the tow hook should slant up towards the hood or down towards the ground? Will take pics tomorrow. To dark now.

Update. Grill guard is on. I called them and they are going thru a big redesign of the installation instructions. They really need to. Brackets faced down and the one designated for the poo assembler side, went on the drivers side. Absolutely no "license plate relocation kit instructions but I got them to email me a pic of those as well. Will attach a pic tomorrow.
