Brake light/turn signal problem

When either of the turn signals are on by them selfs they works normal, as well as the emergency flashers. When the brakes are depressed the brake lights work normal. How ever when the brakes are depressed with the turn signal on the brake light on the side the signal is for will go out, and the opposite side brake/turn will flash at a rapid pace. I assumed it was the turn signal switch wiring harness, Part Number: SW324. However, when the head lights are on. In the same situation. The signal slows to beyond slow and at point will stop. So I lean a bit towards the relay.

Any help is much appreciated.

Has the ground near the drivers rear bumper mount been cleaned? It can cause similar issues.

I'm with 98_k1500, sounds like a bad earth connection
