I want a little rumble for my big block but I don't want anything obnoxiously loud or droning because I tend to make long 2+ hr trips often towing something. I have plenty of basis for small block exhaust but I have never dealt with a big block so what muffler would be a good option?

My dually has a GIANT flowmaster on it not sure what series since it was already on there when I bought it, however I also have no cat on it so its makes a pretty healthy sound lol. But its still not outrages loud, it also doesnt have a headliner and the other day cruising down the highway it had less drone than the 40 series on my rclb. Both are dumped right after the cab.

Flowmaster 50 series are for big blocks, I believe.
I have a dual in/dual out 50 series behind my small block w/full tail pipes.
Love the way my truck sounds.

My 454 had 3 inch duals with cats and no mufflers dumped just behind the cab. Drone wasn't bad and it was surprisingly not too loud at all.

You can see the dumps just behind the cab in this picture.
