98 k2500 new fuel pump issue

I bought a cheap junk ebay fuel pump at first and it made 35psi out of the box now i saw a more quality pump was better well i went with a spectra and i installed it and now i read 50-55 psi key on engine off because well it wont start, new fuel filter pressure wont go higher if i block th return line what is my issue here am i missing something? I replaced the filter lines are clear tank is clean i need to get this fixed its my daily driver any input and help is greatly appreciated

Since the pressure didn't rise when the return was blocked, that should rule out the regulator. I'd guess either a restriction in the supply, a bad pump or possibly an electrical issue at the pump. None are fun to track down. Here are the diagnostics for a 1998 350, maybe it will help...
